RJ Watson’s armored version of our Silicoflex Expansion Joint System was chosen by the City of Fate, TX to be used in the Williamsburg residential development project. GSI Highway Products fabricated the steel armoring for the expansion joint system with RJ Watson providing the seal.
Coppell Construction was chosen by the City to complete this project. Williamsburg is a single-family residential planned development subdivision with parks, hiking and biking trails, soccer and baseball fields, and a catch and release fishing pond. The total project area is 70 acres with 16 acres of open space and 18 acres of right-of-way.
Phase 3B consists of housing development and the expansion of Gettysburg Boulevard to connect the new development to Rochell Road to the west for easier access. This new addition to Gettysburg Boulevard crosses a tributary that required the construction of two new bridges.
Over 120 L.F. of armored Silicoflex SF400 expansion joint, designed to accommodate four inches of movement, was provided to Coppell Construction.
