Back in 2015 McClean Contracting installed 8 Disktron Bearings on the beautiful Lesner Bridge in Virginia Beach, VA. The bearings were designed for 3000 kips of vertical load and had a horizontal capacity of 15%. The use of coupled anchors on the top and bottom plates was done to meet the replaceability requirement and the design rotation was 0.03 radians. This spectacular structure was designed by Figg Bridge Engineers.
